Chapel Hill

2018

'Chapel Hill' is a project that consists of a few designed objects that are assembled together in the form of set design.

A study of the relationships between designed objects with ambiguous functions that provokes your references and provides you with space to fantasize about what forms furniture can take. Together, the pieces form an interior and spatiality that has a close resemblance to scenography, advertising and interior design photographs. It is a flirt with 1980s American Art Deco interior styles – a reminder that furniture can be fun and strange, transforming your surroundings for better, or worse.

'Chapel Hill' is a set design project emphasizing the humoristic aspect of interior design with elements of the colloquial and homely – but with a twist where everything isn’t quite what it seems.
